September!! One of my favorite months of the year. Actually, maybe my favorite month now, because of the birth of a very special someone by the name of Xavier :) August was BONKERS and I am very, very glad to see the calendar flip and have a fresh clean slate for this month ahead.
I guess I never posted my August goals - woops! I did okay on them, but ended up having to just let go of the expectation that many of them would happen because there were events beyond our control. Instead of completing our summer bucket list items, we spent most weekends driving to and from northern Indiana to spend time with my Mimi and family. It was hard and it was good and it was wonderful to spend so much time with my mom's side of the family over the past month or so. Although the constant back and forth was hard, I'm grateful she lived close enough for us to make the trip, and that we had some really wonderful memories with her before she passed away.
So, here we are, September. And I feel fired up for a fresh start, a fresh list of goals to tackle and a fun "Fall Bucket List" for the next couple months!
Here are my September goals:
- Celebrate sweet Xavier's birthday well
- Read three books
- WRITE OUR WILL
- Slow Mondays
- Get Etsy 100% switched over to instant downloads (I'm about halfway!)
- Become a morning person
- Read through the book of James
- Recover the couch
- Apple orchard with Xavier!
- Enjoy our time camping at Hill Lake
- 1 activity/"craft" with Xavier (I say "craft" loosely - he's 11 months old.)
- Meal plan + prep
- Bakcup phone photos to Dropbox
- Pray before phone
- Drink water
- Read to Xavier
- Give thanks
- 10 minutes of Pilates
- Read the Word
- Love Matt well
Honestly, my weekly + daily goals have stayed the same for months. And I think that's okay! I see them more as building habits - which takes time. A lot of time. So I'm going to keep adding them until those habits are solidified into rhythms and I can move onto something else!
Do you post your monthly goals? If so, pop a link into the comments and I'd love to read them! XO!
