Pretty paper: Katie & Clark's wedding

Happy Monday! I'm so excited to share this post's one I've been sitting on for awhile! Last year, I was contacted by the sweetest bride-to-be, who stumbled upon my design shop on Etsy and wanted to chat about her wedding invites! As it turns out, she was in the same city as me, but found me by happenstance on Etsy. Small world! Katie is a gem and it was SO much fun creating a cohesive look for her wedding paper goods, from the save-the-date all the way through the thank-you note! They were married in November of last year and had a gorgeous, "classic Americana" wedding.

It was important to Katie and Clark that the wedding vibe wasn't too girly or trendy. Here is how Katie described her vision for their day:

"I have a very classic yet eclectic style, along with an eye for design.  I didn't want our wedding to be too "girly" or "trendy".  I always envisioned a color palette that had bright red.  Clark's favorite drink is Coca the colors and design of the Coke logo became an inspiration, and classic Americana was born!  We will be using Coca Cola in some of our décor and drinks to tie into the overall feel.  We will be having classic American foods with an upscale twist. (like burgers and sweet potato fries)  Overall, I wanted the day to capture our laidback personalities, but still be modern and fun."

It's such a joy to work with brides who have an overall vision for their day and want that vision to carry over into the paper goods. After all, the invitation (or save the date!) is the first glimpse people will get of your wedding style and vibe! Katie and Clark were drawn to illustration and vintage type, stripes, baker's twine, and things of that nature. The color palette was mainly red and navy, with gold, ivory and brown as loose accent colors.

Here was their save-the-date...

We carried over several elements from the save-the-date into the invitation suite. The suite included the invitation, a double-sided reply postcard and a double-sided reception info/map card. The pieces were tied with twine and sealed in a white envelope with a metallic gold liner. I absolutely love how everything turned out!! It was SUCH  a fun suite to work on and Katie was just the best to work with.

I also created tags for the favor bags, table numbers, thank-you notes and the ceremony program. It was super fun to create a cohesive theme to each and every piece and bring it all together. If you're in the market for some design goods for your wedding or event, feel free to say hello and start a conversation! I would love to work with you :)
